5-Amino-1MQ is a membrane-permeable small-molecule inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme involved in nicotinamide metabolism and cellular methyl-donor regulation.
Laboratory research has examined NNMT inhibition in relation to adipocyte biology, metabolic signaling, cellular energy regulation, and changes in lipid metabolism. Unlike most products in this catalog, 5-Amino-1MQ is a small-molecule research compound rather than a peptide.
